PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Katahdin Trust announced the promotion of Janet Doak to assistant vice president, retail services officer and branch manager of the bank’s Ashland and Presque Isle locations.

Based out of Presque Isle, Doak replaces Diane Green who retires May 1. In her new role, Doak will be responsible for retail lending, business development, and the daily branch management of the bank’s offices in Ashland and Presque Isle. She has been working closely with Green since February on this transition of duties.

Green has been with Katahdin Trust for more than 28 years working in a variety of positions, including branch manager for the Mars Hill branch from 1995–1999 and for the last 21 years as branch manager for the Presque Isle office.

“Diane has built meaningful relationships with our customers in the County for the better part of three decades,” said Bonnie Foster, executive vice president, retail services. “She has been instrumental in building and growing our presence in Presque Isle and we wish her well in her retirement.”

Doak has held several positions with the bank since joining in 2005 as a traveling retail services assistant. In 2007, she became a customer service representative in Presque Isle, then was promoted to branch manager of the Katahdin Trust Ashland branch in 2015, a position she’ll continue to hold in addition to her new role as branch manager for the Presque Isle bank.

“Janet has a tremendous work ethic, is knowledgeable, and is ready to serve the customers of our Presque Isle branch,” said Billi Griffeth, regional vice president, retail services. “Janet is a valuable member of our team and I’m excited to announce her promotion.”

Doak has been in the banking industry for more than 30 years. She’s a graduate of Washburn District High School and she obtained an associate degree in business administration from Husson University. She also received a general banking diploma from the Center for Financial Training and Education Alliance (CFTEA) and attended the Northern New England School of Banking in 2015.

She is an active member in her community, serving on the United Way of Aroostook’s board and annual participant in Junior Achievement and Teach Children to Save Day events. Doak resides in Presque Isle with her fiancé Bob Crawford, and two children, Janelle and Carter.
