CARIBOU, Maine — The Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp, based in Caribou and serving students all over Aroostook County, recently presented its annual Gwen Turner Memorial Scholarship.
Nolan Jacobs of Houlton High School received the scholarship from Nancy Saucier, Turner’s second eldest daughter.
Turner was the food service director at the camp for more than 20 years. The scholarship is awarded each year to an ATLC member who shows outstanding leadership, dedication and moral character.
Jacobs has been accepted at the University of Pennsylvania, founded by Benjamin Franklin.
