VASSALBORO, Maine — The Caribou Vikings golf team wrapped up the season at the State Class B tournament at the Natanis Golf Club on Oct. 10, and competed well throughout the year according to coach Marc Weeks.
“After not fielding a team last year, the Vikings returned in force with an outstanding season,” Weeks said.
The team went 10-2 in the regular season, and were just shy of qualifying as a team for the State Class B Championship. They were, however, able to send three individual qualifying golfers to the Oct. 10 championship: Cory Herbert, Miles Collier, and Sawyer Deprey.
Collier shot 91 and landed at 23rd place spot; Herbert shot a 98 and received 41st place, and Deprey shot 101 and received 45th place.
Weeks said 58 boys qualified for the State Class B tournament.
