PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — “Frost on the pumpkin” turned into white stuff Monday morning, Oct. 26, as the Presque Isle area saw its first visible snowfall.
About 1/2 inch of flakes had blanketed the ground by 10:30 a.m. The National Weather Service in Caribou forecast possible rain and snow showers Monday night and a slight chance of snow on Wednesday, with the rest of the week looking sunny and cool.
