CASTLE HILL, Maine — An Ashland man had to be transported to a Bangor hospital for injuries he received when his truck went into a ditch, rolling over several times and pinning him inside the vehicle on Tuesday, police said.
Maine State Trooper Ryan Kilcollins said Jason Tucker, 28, of Ashland was driving his 2003 Ford F-350 Superduty westbound on the State Road in Castle Hill around 4 a.m. on Nov. 10 and that “for reasons unknown,” he went into the ditch, struck a utility pole, and then hit a culvert. His truck rolled over multiple times before landing upright in the ditch.
The Mapleton Fire Department had to extract Tucker from his vehicle, as police said he was pinned inside when they arrived.
The Presque Isle Fire and Ambulance Department then transported him to Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital, but he later needed to be taken to Eastern Maine Medical due to the severity of his injuries.
Police said speed may have factored into the crash, and that Tucker was wearing his seat belt.
