Area Girl Scouts begin annual fall fundraiser
MAPLETON NEWS
by Jennifer Buzza
Girl Scouts in the local area will be promoting their annual fall fundraiser of nuts, candy and magazine subscriptions now through mid-October.
Customers will have the opportunity to pre-order treats like chocolate-covered almonds, pretzels or raisins, specialty items like dark chocolate mint penguins, peanut butter bears or creamy caramel treasures covered in milk chocolate wrapped in a Girl Scout collectible flower pot tin. Gluten-free options are also available.
Support can also be provided by purchasing nuts or magazine subscriptions to donate. Any items purchased for donation will benefit the Agency on Aging and Meals on Wheels programs throughout Maine. Customers are also encouraged to order a subscription to their favorite magazine.
Items are reasonably priced to benefit local Scouts and their programming. Nuts and candy will be available for delivery just before Thanksgiving.
