FULTON, Burton (Buck), Jr., 70, WESTFIELD, ME, & Parker, AZ, September 6, 2013. Per his request, no funeral services were held.
WESTFIELD, ME & PARKER, AZ – Burton (Buck) L. Fulton, Jr., died unexpectedly on Sept. 6, 2013. He was born on June 24, 1943, to Burton and Hope (Van Tassel) Fulton. He attended Westfield Elementary School through 8th grade and ACI High School in Mars Hill.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years both stateside as well as overseas: Vietnam, Taiwan, Turkey, Thailand and Okinawa. After retiring in Southern California with an honorable discharge at the rank of Master Sergeant, Buck continued working in law enforcement at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in Moreno Valley for another 12 years.
Buck was an avid gun collector and loved to travel. As a young man, he enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his dad and friends, especially the fishing trips to Fowler Pond.
Buck is survived by his wife, Judith Carstensen of Parker, AZ; two daughters, Jene Fuentes of Moreno Valley, CA, and Rose Veneklasen and husband, Tom of Tucson, AZ; four sisters, Cheryl McCann of Presque Isle, Naomi Little and husband, Larry of Linneus, Bonnie Davenport of Fort Fairfield, and Nancy Fulton of Westfield; four grandchildren, Nathaniel Fuentes of Irvine, CA, and Jackson, Nolan and XiMei Veneklasen of Tucson, AZ; one great-grandson, Aiden Fuentes of Riverside, CA. He is also survived by his niece, Kim Hastings of Gahanna, OH; and five nephews, Randie Davenport of Fort Fairfield, Matt Davenport of Fort Fairfield, Jason Little of Linneus, Brian Little of Portland, and James Gardiner of Mapleton; step-daughter, Ginger Watson and her children, Dannielle and Andrew Nelson of CA.
Buck was predeceased by his mother, Hope; his father, Burt Sr.; his older sister, Pat Gardiner; niece, Joanna Gardiner; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Gardiner and Tim McCann.
