Seeking fairness
To the editor:
Today’s law is bought with money. The working poor are normally screwed over by it. I guess that’s because of the judges today as they make sure their lawyer buddies make maximum profit.
But who do you complain to? Our politicians make the laws to suit the wealthy so they can manipulate it with money by having a lawyer twist words around to suit them. They want to do something and find it’s illegal. You got enough money, don’t worry, we will change the law for you.
So who are the bigger criminals? I think politicians, lawyers, judges all need to be looked at hard — and not by people that twist words around to suit themselves.
In northern Maine it is very bad. Laws should be clear-cut for everyone, not purchased with money as it is in northern Maine. Oh, that would be fair. Can’t have that in the law. What would The County do.
