Phyllis was born in Caribou, ME, on May 19, 1927. The family moved from Caribou to Presque Isle when Phyllis was a sophomore in high school, and she graduated from Presque Isle High School.
Phyllis worked as a secretary, an accountant, and an ambulance attendant at different times in her life. For many years, she was a ham radio operator and most recently she was a dedicated volunteer at TAMC where she greeted visitors at guest relations. Most of all, Phyllis enjoyed her friends and family. She was constantly on the go with one friend or another.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter of her first marriage, Leah Rae Donahue and her husband, Michael; two grandsons, Micah and Ryan, their wives, Kristen and Maria, and five grandchildren, Riley, Max, Alex, Lucy, and Owen. She is also survived by step-daughters, Susan Lovely and Nancy Mills of her second marriage; as well as many close friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Zilpha Kelley; her sisters, Edwyna and Barbara Kelley; as well as her first husband, Parker Bailey Jr.; and her second husband, Elmer Davis Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be given to the charity of your choice. Phyllis’ family especially wishes to thank TAMC for their compassionate care.
