PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A vehicle crashed into Kelley’s Laundromat in Presque Isle on Tuesday, damaging the storefront but not causing any injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, according to the Presque Isle Police Department. No injuries have been reported, and no arrests have currently been made as a result of the crash. Police Sgt. Christopher Hayes is leading the investigation.
It’s the second time in less than six months an incident involving a crashed storefront has happened in the city. Back in April, a vehicle crashed into the entrance of the Irish Setter Pub, located just right down the street from the Laundromat. The crash that time involved a driver mistakenly putting their foot on the gas instead of the brake.
