FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Fort Fairfield Police Department is asking the public’s help in seeking information related to two separate incidents of human feces found near the Riverside Pavilion.
On Monday, Aug. 30, the department received a report of human feces located near the picnic tables inside the pavilion. The incident caused a family to move their child’s birthday party to another location, according to the Facebook post from Chief Matthew Cummings.
On Saturday, Sept. 4, an on-duty police officer saw human feces smeared on the door of a restroom stall at Riverside Park.
At this time there are no known suspects in connection with the incidents, but Cummings is urging the public to report any information they might have.
“Whoever is doing this, you are ruining the facility for the rest of us,” Cummings noted.
Anyone with information can contact Fort Fairfield Police Department at (207) 472-3808.
