PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Maine Women’s Summit for Economic Justice, a series of discussions online and at points throughout the state from Oct. 14 to Oct. 19, will feature a forum in Presque Isle from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Oct. 16.
The community conversation will be facilitated by Aroostook County Democrats Chairperson Lillie Lavado, and will take place in person at Mainely Girls in the Aroostook Centre Mall, as well as online via Zoom.
The conversation is open to all. Participants will discuss barriers to civic engagement experienced by people in rural areas of Maine.
