Troy Jackson visits Caribou Community School

Earlier this month, Senate President Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, joined a grade 6 social studies class at Caribou Community School to speak about the Maine Legislature and answer questions from students.

“Meeting with students like the sixth-graders at Caribou Community School is one of the best parts of serving in the Maine Legislature. Our students always ask the toughest questions that truly get to the heart of what our job in Augusta is all about – making it easier for our neighbors to live, work, raise a family, and eventually retire,” said Jackson. “I’m so grateful to teachers like Cheryl Pelletier, who equip young people with the tools to participate in their government. There’s no question in my mind that these students will go far. I can’t wait to see what they do next.” If interested in having Jackson visit your school, please reach out to his office 207-287-1500.
