The Presque Isle hockey squad traveled to Augusta Saturday to take on Cony.
The host Rams (3-3) scored early and often en route to a 6-4 victory over the Wildcats (1-3).
Cony jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first period and never looked back. The Rams scored two quick short-handed goals grew their lead to 5-1 by the end of the second period. Presque Isle‘s goal was scored by Dawson Kinney with Jonah Roy getting the assist.
In the third period, Presque Isle attempted a comeback as Kinney scored twice more, and Hiwatha Paul added a goal, but it was not enough.
Connor Bell faced 27 shots in goal for Presque Isle, and the Wildcats put 24 shots on Cony.
