HODGDON, Maine — After nearly three decades of service to the community of Hodgdon, Jim Griffin is retiring.
The town is seeking a replacement, but so far the interest appears to be minimal.
“I will be retiring June 30, 2022, unless we find someone earlier,” Griffin said.
Hodgdon has received just one application for the position as of Jan. 21, according to the assistant town clerk.
Griffin wears multiple hats for the town of Hodgdon, filling the role of town manager, town clerk, tax collector, treasurer, road commissioner, general assistance administrator and housing manager. He is also a volunteer firefighter.
The advertisement for the position states the board of selectmen is “looking for a leader who is committed to local government and delivering excellent service to the taxpayers, residents and visitors.”
