WASHBURN, Maine — Kevin Nader of Washburn, a senior at Washburn District High School, has been selected to receive the 2022 Principal’s Award, Principal Lawrence Worcester announced.
The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
“Throughout Kevin’s years at Washburn District High School, he has distinguished himself in the classroom through his academic excellence, as an NHS member, and through his extra-curricular activities,” Principal Worcester noted in making the award. “He very much deserves this recognition.”
Nader, Worcester, and other award winners and their principals attended a live virtual awards presentation on April 1.
The presentation recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an MPA pin, an individual plaque and the awarding of ten $1,000 scholarships.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
