PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Officials with the Aroostook Band of Micmac Boys and Girls Club were happy to announce that their Feb. 12 Open House was a success. Over 75 people attended the event, during which the organization’s staff showcased various programs, like 5210 Let’s Go!, their mentoring program, volunteer opportunities, cultural awareness and music program. Also featured at the event was the Independent Living Program booth, hosted by Tania Paul and Associates, which featured fun crafts and activities for youth and adults. Glo Curtis also hosted her own baked-good donation table, which raised $40 for the Boys and Girls Club; between the bake sale, a 50/50 raffle, a book sale and bottle donation drive, over $150 was raised for the Boys and Girls Club youth programs from the event.
