    PRESQUE ISLE – Sherry Lynn Cowett, 53, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away Friday morning, February 28, 2014, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born in Presque Isle on June 7, 1960, the daughter of Cecil and Marie (Ireland) Johnson.
    She was a graduate of Presque Isle High School, Class of 1978. Sherry worked as a pharmacy technician and most recently worked as a sub at SAD 1 schools. She loved her horses, and enjoyed attending horse shows. Sherry also loved the outdoors, hunting , fishing, hiking, and exercising. She attended the Easton Pentecostal Church.
    She is survived by her mother, Marie Johnson of Easton; two sons, Aaron Cowett of Presque Isle, Tim Lyford and his wife, Ginny of Wolburn, MA; a daughter, Tia Cowett and her companion, Matt Kilcollins of Mars Hill; a brother, Kevin Johnson and his wife, Brenda of Rochester, NH; a sister, Pam Jamieson and her husband, Gordy of Brewster, MA; a grandson, Brayden Kilcollins of Mars Hill; her former husband, Michael Cowett of Presque Isle; three step-children; and many close friends.
    Friends and family called 12-2 p.m., Monday, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services were held 2 p.m., with Pastor Gloria Watson officiating. The family wishes to thank the staff at TAMC especially the girls at the oncology office.
