Skaters complete testing in Augusta

Six Northern Maine Figure Skating Club members traveled to Augusta Feb. 17 to participate in a United States Figure Skating Association test session held at The Ice Vault.    The skaters were judged professionally by USFSA-approved judges to review their level of elements in order for the skater to pass the level they have been working on.
Jessica Aube of Washburn passed her Bronze Dance Test, Carly Bell of Presque Isle passed her 14 Step Dance, Kimberly Cook of Presque Isle passed her Preliminary Freestyle, Pre-Juvenile Moves in the Field and her Pre-Bronze Dance Test, Jayden Lovely of Presque Isle passed her Pre-Preliminary Moves in the Field and Pre-Preliminary Freestyle Tests, Sedona Lucas of Presque Isle passed her Preliminary Moves in the Field and Fiesta Tango Dance Test and Katelyn White of Easton passed her Preliminary Freestyle, Juvenile Moves,  Bronze Dance Test and her Foxtrot and 14 Step Dance Tests.
The skaters are coached by Sarah Caron, Katie Griffin and Haley Kelley.
The Northern Maine Figure Skating Club is preparing for its annual Musical on Ice that will be held on March 15 at 1 and 7 p.m. at the Forum in Presque Isle. The theme of “The Lion King” will come to life and the public is invited to attend to watch Simba, Timon, Pumbaa and the remainder of The Lion King characters show their talent and tricks on ice.
Tickets may be purchased from a NMFSC club member, at The Forum or at the door on the day of the event. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
