EASTON, Maine – Easton Junior Senior High School Principal Laura Hunter, is pleased to announce the honor parts for the graduation ceremonies of the Class of 2022. The graduation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 10 at 6:30 pm.
Valedictorian Kaden Arnett is the son of Calvin and Peggy Arnett. Kaden has earned highest honors all four years of high school. He has been a member of the Math Team during his grade 10-12 years. Kaden currently is the vice president of the senior class and also the vice president of the National Honor Society. During Kaden’s senior year you could spot him at any home sporting event as our school mascot, Denny the bear. Kaden was a member of the yearbook staff for the 2021-22 edition of the yearbook. In the fall, Kaden plans to attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle to study secondary education.
Salutatorian Emma Lamoreau is the daughter of Craig and Amanda Lamoreau. Emma has earned highest honors all four years of high school Throughout high school Emma participated in varsity soccer, varsity basketball, and volleyball. During Emma’s freshman and sophomore years she participated in band, cheering, Math Team, Jazz Choir, and One Act Play. Emma has been a member of the FFA for the past four years as well as the Varsity Club. For the past three years Emma has been a member of the National Honor Society and is currently the club president. Emma also has been an active member of the Student Council and has served as the secretary and vice president during her tenure. Emma plans to attend Northern Maine Community College in the fall to study nursing.
1st Honor Essayist Maggee Currie is the daughter of Noel and Sheila Currie. Maggee has consistently been on high or highest honors all four years. Throughout high school she was involved in the senior play, was a member of the Math Team, involved with the yearbook publication, and also a member of the wellness team. Maggee also participated in varsity basketball. For the past four years she has been involved in Envirothon, FFA, Spanish Club, Student Council, varsity soccer, and volleyball. Maggee currently holds the title of class president, president of the FFA, vice president of the Spanish Club, Varsity Club fundraiser coordinator, and is the current president of the Student Council. In the fall, Maggee plans to attend the University of Maine at Presque Isle to study communication sciences and disorders.
2nd Honor Essayist Madison Ouellet is the daughter of Cecilia Smith, Daniel Ouellet, and Samantha Ramelli. Madison attended Easton Jr/Sr High School for her junior and senior years. During her early high school years she played soccer, basketball and softball. She was also a member of the FFA. She attended the cosmetology program at Presque Isle Technical Center during both her junior and senior years. She was named the fourth quarter student of the quarter for her hard work in cosmetology. Maddie has been a member of the honor roll throughout high school. In the fall Madison plans to attend Northern Maine Community College to study business administration.
