PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — MMG Insurance Company of Presque Isle announced the retirement of Dawn Hill of Cape Neddick from the board of directors during the company’s annual meeting held on April 13.
Hill joined the Board in 1990. She is a small business owner and served as a Maine state senator from 2010 to 2018.
“I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Dawn for her years of service and dedication to MMG Insurance. We are grateful for her impact on the board and the company,” said Larry Shaw, president and CEO of MMG Insurance.
MMG also announced the election of Deborah A. Jordan and Deanna S. Sherman as the newest board members.
“We are pleased to welcome Deborah Jordan and Deanna Sherman as new directors to our board. Each of them brings exceptional experience and expertise which will complement our current board of directors. We are looking forward to their valuable perspectives and contributions,” said Shaw.
Jordan, of Camden, is the business advisor/sole proprietor of Camden Consulting. Previously, she was the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Camden National Corporation and Bank. She holds a B.S. in accounting from Husson University, an A.S. in business management from Eastern Maine Community College, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Jordan serves as a director and finance committee chair for Seven Islands Land Management. She also serves as a director and audit committee chair of Maine Community Foundation. She is a past trustee of Husson College, past director of Eastern Maine Community College Foundation, past director of the Camden Public Library and past director of the Bangor Public Library.
Sherman, of South Portland, is the president and CEO of Dead River Company. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from Colby College and a master of business administration from the University of Southern Maine. She serves on the Board of Lee Auto Malls.
She was previously a director on a variety of community and industry boards including the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute, Educate Maine, United Way of Greater Portland, the University of Southern Maine Foundation, Junior Achievement of Maine and the Maine Energy Marketers Association. She is a recipient of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership in the Private Sector Award (2019).
