Community Lunch and Learn
to serve as roadmap to becoming
the ‘Best Rural Healthcare Organization in America’
Last month, participants at TAMC’s Community Lunch and Learn shared their thoughts, opinions and suggestions on how TAMC could become a better health care facility.
This month they will learn how some of those thoughts may be put into action. Sylvia Getman, president and CEO of TAMC, will present the plan to make TAMC the “Best Rural Healthcare Organization in America.”
Getman will share TAMC’s strategy on recruiting new providers, improving the patient experience and expanding health care education, which — in turn — will improve the health of the community. She will also review the changes for facilities in Presque Isle, Fort Fairfield, Mars Hill and Ashland.
The luncheon will be held March 17 at 11 a.m. at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center and participants will enjoy a boiled dinner in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Prior to the luncheon, Renee Guerrette, TAMC rehab care coordinator, will be performing balance and cognitive testing, and staff from Crown Emergency Services will conduct free blood pressure screenings. Pre-dinner music will be performed by “The Band.”
