     MANTER, Marion A., 84, PRESQUE ISLE, March 3, 2014. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Fairmount Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Marion A. Manter, 84, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014, at a Presque Isle healthcare facility. She was born on May 31, 1929, the daughter of Norris and Alice (Carver) Wood.
    She did volunteer work for the American Heart Association for a number years. Marion enjoyed gardening.
    She is survived by her husband, Jerome Manter of Presque Isle; three daughters, Adrienne Morang of Windsor, CT, Bonnie Glidden and her husband, Frederick of South China, Diane Monahan and her husband, Steve of Presque Isle; her step-children, John Manter and his wife, Norma of Zephyrhills, FL, Carol Ricker and her husband, Dave of Fort Fairfield, Bob Manter and his wife, Betsy of Portland; a daughter-in-law, Sue Smith of Lubbock, TX; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
    She was predeceased by a son, Brian Smith.
