PRESQUE ISLE – Galen H. Curtis, 74, died Friday, September 14, 2007 at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 4, 1933 in Woodland, the son of Cecil and Cassie (Little) Curtis.
Galen proudly served in the armed forces. He enjoyed working with his hands and building things with wood. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting.
He is survived by two brothers, Franklin Curtis and his wife Leona of Presque Isle, Arlo Little from New Castle, four sisters, Thelma Peluso of Westfield, Ruth Corapi of Presque Isle, Mary Hafford from Fort Kent, Waneta Avant of Louisiana, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he, was predeceased by a brother Cecil Curtis.
A graveside service with military honors was conducted 10 A.M. Tuesday at Fairmount Cemetery in Presque Isle with Pastor Larry Palmer officiating. Arrangements in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St.
