What a beautiful weekend we had for golf, summer really is here. On Saturday we held the Second Annual Mucho Moolah Two-Person Scramble in Memory of Dewey DeWitt. The field was full with 20 teams. The winning team was Jerry York and Bob Gray, runner up was Sean Dolomont and Richie Flowers. A great day was had by all.
Junior Golf has kicked off with record turnout this year. We have over 55 kids learning to play golf. Please note through August the course will be closed on Mondays from 8 to 11:30 a.m. to allow these golfers to play and learn at their own pace.
Golf For Life has finished another very successful season. Just because the lessons are over, their golfing is not. All Golf For Life participants are eligible for 50 percent off membership. Reach out to the clubhouse to sign up today. On June 17 we will be hosting the first GFL scramble for the year, with others later.
The next two tournaments are the Alumni Scramble July 9, and the Mid-Summer Dream Four-Person Scramble July 23. Make sure to sign up today with the clubhouse by calling 532-2662.
Are you looking for some extra help on your golf game? We are now offering multiple options for lessons. We have three local instructors. Dave Grant has many years teaching golf to anyone who wants to improve, he heads up Golf For Life and is also the Houlton High golf coach. Zach Goodwin has 18 years of experience instructing, specializing in hard-to-fix problems. We are also offering remote video lessons from Adam Bazeljette.
