ASHLAND – Cheyanne Rae “Chey” Flint, 20, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her home in Richmond. Cheyanne was born May 22, 1993, the second of three daughters of Keith and Karen (Carney) Flint.
Cheyanne was a young woman, full of life and laughter — a free spirit. She loved going on new adventures and was never one to sit still for very long. Cheyanne was kind, caring, and smart as the day was long. She could imagine anything and experimented putting different things together – like our childhood snack of “peanut butter soup”! She adored anything that was purple-colored and cherished her favorite flower, a simple yellow rose.
Cheyanne is survived by her parents, Keith and Karen (Carney) Flint of Ashland; two sisters, Dakotta Flint and her fiancé, Jerry Harris and Savannah Flint, all of Ashland; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Mary (Gilman) Flint of Portage Lake; many aunts, uncles, cousins; a very dear friend, Gabriel Lahti of Richmond; and many friends.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Alvery and Lillian (Cloukey) Carney.
A funeral service was held 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the Union Congregational Church, Sheridan Rd., Ashland, with Pastor Bill Harris of Ashland Advent Christian Church officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home-Ashland, 114 Exchange St., Ashland, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cheyanne’s name may be made to: Maine State Suicide Prevention Training Program, c/o NAMI, 1 Bangor St., Augusta, ME 04330.
