HOULTON, Maine – The Cary Library is offering the children’s program “So You Think You Know Maine,” by author Tim Caverly on Thursday, July 28, at 3 p.m.
The program, which will be held in the Houlton Amphitheater in Monument Park behind the library, will feature information on the birthplace of Disney’s Bambi, the northern forest ice caves, abandoned railroads, petrographs, and tales which can only be described as classic Maine.
The lore, legends, and characters were experienced by Caverly during his 32 years as a Maine Park ranger.
Cary Library is able to offer this program thanks to a grant from the Maine Humanities Council providing funding from the NEH initiative “Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan” (SHARP).
