St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Washburn will be hosting a lasagna lunch on Sunday, March 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The meal will consist of lasagna, garlic bread, Caesar salad, drinks and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a meal.
Friendly Co-op
The Friendly Co-op is open for any new members that would like to join. There is no membership fee. For more information, call 455-8421 or email me at bunny@atimaine.net. You can order either by bulk or smaller amounts. The next order week is Monday, March 31 through Friday, April 4. Delivery will be Friday, April 10. Pay on pick-up date.

Washburn girls’ State Championship T-shirts are now for sale at Washburn District High School. Shirts are $10 each; visit the high school or call at 455-4501 to get yours.
Caution on the trail
Work continues on the Mill Pond in Washburn involving the removal of the dam and upper berm. Large orange construction signs have been placed along the trail, with large construction vehicles moving along parts of the trail. Please use extreme caution when traveling along the trail from south of the Washburn Trailrunners’ Clubhouse on ITS 105.
Class plans dinner
The Washburn District High School physics class will be holding an Italian Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday, April 4, at the Washburn Elementary School Cafeteria. The cost will be $3 for children, $6 for adults or $15 for a family.
The fundraiser is to help students attend a physics workshop in Saco that will define physics laws and concepts, while demonstrating through hands-on experiences. The students will be meeting with amusement park designers, engineers and maintenance workers. After each meeting, students will experience the laws and forces of physics in action by riding and watching the roller coasters and other rides.

The Washburn Trail Runners Snowmobile Club website is back up at www.washburntrailrunners.org. March 29-30 marks the last weekend the clubhouse kitchen will be open.
