The July 20 Star-Herald was delivered to me today. A front page article about the annual Maine Potato Blossom Festival got my attention.
First taking place in 1947, this event has taken place every summer since. The first [Maine Potato Blossom] Queen of the 1947 festival was my sister Betty Green, now deceased. I was disappointed in your article because Betty was not mentioned.
That took place 75 years ago.
