Grand jury hands up 69 indictments

    CARIBOU — The Aroostook County grand jury recently completed its year of service by breaking the prior record of number of indictments returned at a single session by handing up 69 indictments against 64 different persons.    “As has been the case of late, drug abuse-related cases (whether trafficking, stealing, possessing drugs or acting under the influence of or committing offenses to obtain drugs) predominate. Capturing drug-related offenders continues to be like dipping for smelts; they are ubiquitous,” said Neale Adams, Aroostook County district attorney.
