Michaud and Seeley make EM ‘B’ all-star hockey team

    Presque Isle Wildcat hockey players Tyler Seeley and Andrew Michaud were named to the Eastern Maine Class B first team for the 2013-14 season. 

    Seeley is a senior forward and Michaud a senior defenseman. Both led PI to a 13-6-1 record, which included a second-place finish in the standings, a playoff victory over Waterville and a berth in the Eastern Maine Class B finals.         Seeley scored 30 goals and had 24 assists and surpassed the 100-point mark for his career.   

      Michaud had 15 goals and 12 assists, including the game-winning goal against the Panthers in the semifinals.

    Other on the first team were Messalonskee’s Chase Cunningham, who was also named player of the year, Jared Cunningham, Dylan Burton and Ben Weeks.

    Junior forward Alex Michaud of the Wildcats made the second team and teammate Joseph Patenaude, also a junior forward, gained honorable mention.

    Named to the all-academic team was PI’s sophomore goalie, Jillian Flynn.
