HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Elks Lodge No. 835 will host its annual fall Soccer Shootout on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Houlton Middle-High School.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. with the competition starting at noon.
The event challenges youths to kick soccer balls into a net worth varying amounts of points. Age group winners from the local event move on to the district competition, and a chance to compete at the state and New England levels.
Participants are split into the following age groups: U8 (those age seven and younger); U10 (ages 8-9); U12 (ages 10-11); and U14 (ages 12-13).
The event is open to any youth in southern Aroostook County.
