Ramona Hagerman
HAGERMAN, Ramona (Tidd), 85, Maine, March 28, 2014. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in the care of Hall Funeral Home, Casco, Maine.
Ramona Hagerman, 85, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2014 at Bridgton Health Care Center. Ramona was born February 8, 1929, in Hodgdon, the daughter of Bill and Nellie Tidd. She had one sister and two brothers.
On April 15, 1948, Ramona married Robert B. Hagerman and began their 50 years of marriage together in Houlton. They later moved to Presque Isle where they were active members at the Bethany Baptist Church, where Ramona taught Sunday School and was the church librarian for many, many years.
Ramona was a loving and caring mother and wife, a devoted Christian and an avid animal lover. There wasn’t a stray around that didn’t melt her heart.
Ramona worked as a clerk in Day’s Jewelry, Grants, and Zayres Department stores.
After retirement Ramona and Bob spent their winters in Lakeland, FL and in the summers they worked in the North Maine Woods at the Telos Checkpoint for many years, making many friends and enjoying the all the wildlife they saw.
Ramona is survived by her children, Ronald Hagerman of Hephzibah, GA, Rhonda Goupil of Naples, ME, and Richard Hagerman and his wife, Patsy, of Saco, ME; her grandchildren, Rachel Legere and her husband, Rick, of Naples, ME, Mike Goupil and his wife, Jacqueline, of Bridgton, ME, Ryan Hagerman and his wife, Cherice, of Buxton, ME and Aaron Hagerman of Cambridge, MA; great-grandchildren, RJ, Andrew and Joshua Legere, and Averyl Hagerman. She is also survived by her brother, Darrell Tidd and his wife, Gerry, of Hodgdon, and many nieces and nephews.
Ramona was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Hagerman; her sister, Jeanette Beaulieu; and her brother, Gordon “Sonny” Tidd.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco, Maine. A spring interment will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, 1389 Bridgton Road, Fryeburg, ME 04037. We would like to thank everyone at the Bridgton Health Care for their loving care to Ramona.
