CARIBOU, Maine – The No. 8 Caribou boys soccer team exploded for seven first half goals en route to a 10-2 victory as the Vikings surged past No. 9 Old Town in a boys Class B prelim played Saturday.
Caribou (5-10 overall) received three goals from Henry Hebert, while Jude Shea, Evan Durepo and Connor Dodd each added two goals. Sam Hebert added a solo goal. Notching assists were Shea (three), Herbert (two), Connor Dodd, Owen Corrigan and Evan Durepo each with one.
For Old Town, Grayson Thibeault and Braydon Brown each scored a goal, while Bryson Madden had an assist.
The Vikings will now face No. 1 John Bapst (13-0-1) in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
