PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Hospice of Aroostook will hold its third annual Tour of France & Silent Auction Friday, April 25 at the Anah Temple Shriners’ Hall, located at 390 Houlton Road in Presque Isle. Dr. David Jones, central Aroostook’s hospice medical director, will be the master of ceremonies for the evening. Music will be provided by KC & Company DJ Services.
Café Sorpreso will cater a delicious French cuisine meal including an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Staff, hospice volunteers and other community members have been diligently gathering a variety of items and packages for the silent auction. There will be something for everyone.
“There is already a lot of buzz about this year’s Tour event,” said Jessica St. Peter, VNA clinical coordinator and event organizer. “We are grateful to the St. Francis Sno-Angels who are hosting a brief trivia game. The winner of the trivia game will then have a chance at winning a grand prize provided by Gagnon’s Auto & RV Sales. It will be fun for participants and onlookers alike.”
Proceeds from the Tour of France will support hospice patients and their families. Funds raised from the last two years have helped patients and families with everything from their basic needs (food and heat) to medical supplies and covering the cost of funeral expenses.
Hospice of Aroostook has been providing services for 30 years. Last year, staff and volunteers provided compassionate end-of-life care to nearly 200 patients and their families. For more information or to view family testimonials, log onto www.easternmainehomecare.org.
