     COLLINS, Michael Frank Joseph, Sr., 60, WESTFIELD, April 13, 2014. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m.,Thursday, April 17, at the Funeral Home. Arrangements are in care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

     WESTFIELD – Michael Frank Joseph Collins Sr., 60, passed away April 13, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Presque Isle on May 18, 1953, the son of Fernand and Edith (Dufour) Collins.
    Mike graduated from Presque Isle High School, class of 1972, where he was very active in the Future Farmers of America, and played on the FFA basketball team. He worked for Maine Department of Transportation for 35 years, retiring as a foreman.
    He truly loved the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mike and his wife, Linda enjoyed camping at Birch Point Campground in Island Falls, where they met many close friends. He took great pleasure spending time with the kids, including his several nieces, nephews, grandson and many young fishermen he would share secrets with.
    He is survived by his wife, Linda (Putnam) Collins of Westfield; a daughter, Stacey Brooker and her husband, Terry of Westfield; a son, Michael Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Presque Isle; grandson,, Patrick Michael, and Ethan due in June; two brothers, Jerry and his wife, Jackie of Terryville, CT, James and his friend, Susan of Manchester CT; four sisters, Cecile Wood and her husband, Arthur of Presque Isle, Sister Lena Collins O. Carm of Lacombe, LA, Lisa Collins and her husband, Stephen Ives of Hampstead, NH, Tina Wood and her husband Curtis of Vassalboro, several nieces and nephews including a special hunting companion, nephew Chris.
    He was predeceased by his parents. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Ruth Collins for her loving care these past few months.
    Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church Street, Presque Isle, where Funeral services will be held 10 a.m.,Thursday, April 17, 2014, with Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, later this spring.
