Adult dodgeball tourney slated in Caribou  April 26

    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring an adult dodgeball tournament on Saturday, April 26 beginning at 10 a.m. The registration fee is $80 per team. Those interested must register their team and submit rosters by Wednesday, April 23.

Turner earns honorable mention forAll-Maine team

    Easton senior Hunter Turner received honorable mention for this year’s Bangor Daily News All-Maine basketball team, which was announced over the weekend.
Turner, a center, led the Bears in scoring and rebounding this past season. He was selected All-Aroostook and was chosen to play in both the McDonald’s East-West Senior All-Star game and the Aroostook County Classic Senior Game. He was a key player as the Bears went undefeated during the regular season and advanced to the Eastern Maine Class D semifinals.

Co-ed softball meeting planned

    The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department will host a co-ed softball meeting Thursday, April 24 at 5:30 p.m. at the William Haskell Community Center. All teams planning to play in the league this summer should have a representative at the meeting. Call 764-2545 for more information.
