Image   Christina Marie Ouellette, daughter of Sam and Cheri Ouellette of Presque Isle, and Daniel David John Rooney, son of Don and Deb Rooney of Presque Isle, were married Saturday, June 30, 2007 at the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church in Presque Isle with the Rev. David Williams presiding.     The bride wore a “new” strapless full-length gown made of satin. The Scalloped bodice and crossover midriff was encrusted with beads and sequins. The full skirt ended in a four-foot train that was bustled up during the reception. She carried a simple bouquet of velvet red roses with one real yellow rose in memory of her maternal grandmother, (MeMe) Linda J. Farley. Her “borrowed” veil, tucked in under her loose chignon, draped down her back in a fingertip length ending in white satin ribbon. Her garter, blue, a true tradition, adorned her left leg. Finishing the ensemble, tucked into her bodice, was an “old” piece of lace from her great-great paternal grandmother’s wedding dress, Alice F. Farley.
The groom wore a full-coat black tuxedo with a white vest and tie to match the bride. His satin lapels matching the satin stripe of his formal pants, and black dress shoes completed the ensemble. The boutonniere he wore was made of the same velvet red roses as the bride and adorned with baby’s breath.
Maid of Honor was Chelsey Trombley, friend of the bride. She wore a spaghetti-strapped full-length red satin dress with the same crossover midriff as the bride. She carried a similar bouquet as the bride but with baby’s breath tucked in to accentuate the difference. Bridesmaids attending were Kaitlyn Welsh, longtime friend of the bride and Destin Larrabee, friend of the bride. The attendants wore the same style dress as the maid of honor, except in a tea-length style. They carried a smaller version bouquet with leaves tucked in to accentuate the difference.
Best man was Paul Morgan, friend of the groom. He wore a full coat tuxedo with a black tie and vest, black satin lapels with a white velvet rose as a boutonniere. Groomsmen attending were Jon Jandreau, friend of the groom, and Seth Rooney, brother of the groom. Their tuxedoes and boutonnieres matched the best man’s.
Flower girls were Megan and Alyssa Morgan, daughters of the best man. They wore a velvet sleeveless bodice and tulle skirt tea length gown with red velvet rose petals attached and white patent leather shoes. They also wore a satin and red roses crown with red and white ribbons cascading behind them. The girls carried silver wired and beaded heart shaped baskets filled with red rose petals they dropped along the aisles.
Ring bearers were Colby Ouellette, brother of the bride, and Jordan Morgan, son of the best man. They wore black vests, white long sleeved dress shirts and solid red ties. Black dress pants and simple black shoes completed their attire.
The reception, held at the Shriner’s Hall on the Houlton Road, provided a sit down dinner, all the festivities for the bride and groom. A beautiful cake was made by Pat Kelley of Caribou. DJs “Good Vibrations” provided the entertainment late into the evening.
Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Scott Farley and family from New York, Mr. and Mrs. Casey Farley from Portland, Ms. Wendy Welsh and family from Michigan, Mr. and Mrs. Patty Watson from Sanford, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Watson from Lebanon, and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Fox from New York.
