     KOK, Evelyn M., 91, PRESQUE ISLE, April 26, 2014. A “Celebration of Her Life” is planned for this summer in Stonington, and in Presque Isle, a celebration will be announced in the near future. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Evelyn M. Kok, 91, passed away peacefully in Presque Isle on April 26, 2014, with her husband and her niece by her side. Evelyn was born in Belmont, MA, on April 11, 1923, the daughter of Anton and Cora (Wing) Olsen.
    She went to public schools in the area and studied commercial art. She and her husband, Jan Kok, have lived in Presque Isle since 1951. They summered in Stonington from 1972 to 2010. Evelyn was widely known for her paintings, drawings, crafts, teaching no-singers to sing, and for her performances with Jan Kok for schools and civic organizations.
    Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jan Kok; their son, “Mac” of Fort Collins Colorado, Mac’s wife, Peggy Tsai Kok, their children, Ada and Aaron; her niece, Christina Shipps of Stonington.
    A “Celebration of Evelyn’s Life” is planned for this summer in Stonington, and in Presque Isle, a celebration will be announced in the near future.
