Dahlgren graduates from UMO

    Valerie J. Dahlgren of St. David graduated from the University of Maine on May 12 with a bachelor of science degree (cum laude) in biology from the College of Natural Sciences, Forestry and Agriculture and a bachelor of arts degree (cum laude) in mass communication from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.     A member of Alpha Phi sorority, Dahlgren is also a graduate of the University of Maine Honors College and she received academic recognition as a member of Alpha Zeta, Beta Beta Beta, Lambda Presque Isle Eta, the Order of Omega, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She plans to continue her education at the University of Maine and obtain a Master of Science degree in biology.
    A 2002 graduate of Madawaska High School, Valerie is the daughter of Michael and Micheline Dahlgren of St. David. She is the granddaughter of the late Louis and Janine Cyr and Pauline and the late Edward Dahlgren of Blaine.
