PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — It’s a sure sign of spring when the Aroostook Shrine Club prepares for its annual Spring Basket Feztival.
The club will hold the fourth annual event from Thursday, March 16, through Sunday, March 19, at the Northeastland Hotel in Presque Isle.
This year 60 sponsors have signed on, and will fill baskets and colorful spring displays with assorted gifts. Visitors purchase tickets for 50 cents each and deposit their tickets in buckets next to the displays they’d like to win.
The Feztival will take place in the Northeastland’s downstairs ballroom from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, March 16 and 17; from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 18; and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 19.
Kids can have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny and there will be Shrine Klown shenanigans as well.
Winners will be drawn on Sunday, March 19, via Facebook Live. All proceeds will benefit the Aroostook Shrine Club.
