CARIBOU, Maine — Cary Medical Center is excited to announce the addition of James York, MHRT-CSP, to the emergency department team.
York joined the Cary team earlier this year, in efforts to prioritize access to mental health crisis care. Over the last few years, Cary Medical Center has seen an increase in patients seeking help from a mental health professional.
“James is an integral part of the emergency department team,” said Kris Doody, RN and CEO at Cary. “Being able to provide quality mental health care to those in crisis is a priority for us, and his expertise and compassion for our patients helps ensure that we are providing the best care.”
York comes to Cary with a bachelor’s level certification in mental health rehabilitation. “I’ve always had a passion for helping others and providing compassion, empathy, and understanding to those who are experiencing various difficulties in their life,” York explained.
