PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Wintergreen Arts Center is excited to share the art of two Aroostook County artists during the month of April. Beth Ann Cummings and Fallan Robertson will be opening their shows at Wintergreen on Friday, April 7, beginning at 6 p.m.
Caribou native and retired Art and Gifted & Talented Program Educator, Beth Ann Cummings will be sharing pieces from her TheoBek Silver collection. Beth began her artistic adventures at the age of 35 when friends encouraged her to try her hand at “making.”
In her 34 years of teaching, Cummings was privileged to take many art classes through continuing education. She is always drawn to jewelry classes and enjoys silversmithing, enameling, working with fused glass and metal clay.
In retirement, Cummings is keeping busy. Creating not just jewelry, but also stitch fabric, knitting, felting, stained glass, and watercolor painting. She loves spending time with her children, Teddy and Bekah.
Aroostook County native, Fallan Robertson has loved art since childhood. Finding inspiration in the television show “Mister Dressup,” she channeled her creativity into drawings and crafts. Knowing that art would always be an essential part of her life, Robertson created constantly. Going on to study digital design through the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as well as cosmetology at Pierre’s School of Beauty.
Robertson finds inspiration in every aspect of her life. Landscapes, photography, design, even decorating have inspired her to create and try new things. Most recently she has been inspired by painting with alcohol inks. Through her years she has expressed her creativity through photography, drawing, acrylic, watercolor, jewelry and many other forms of art and design.
Robertson lives and works in Mapleton with her husband and their fur babies.
The Wintergreen Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2006, and located in Presque Isle, Maine. Wintergreen is an organization based on the idea that creativity, advocacy, and community can produce great things. Our mission is to provide meaningful experiences that encourage an appreciation of the arts, stimulate creativity and innovation, and offer an artistic community space where all are welcome.
