PATTEN, Maine — Memorial Day 2023 is Monday, May 29 and to commemorate this special day the Patten Area Woman’s Club is planning a Memorial Day service at the Patten Cemetery at 11 a.m. We invite you to attend with other veterans for all to remember with gratitude and pride those who have served our country in the armed forces.
Please gather at the northern entrance to the Patten Cemetery and march to the armed forces flagpole area where the service will begin.
The Patten Area Woman’s Club has sponsored this event for many years and would be honored to have you participate this year. We ask that you invite other veterans to join us on this special day and bring family, friends and neighbors to help us celebrate.
There will be a barbeque in the Patten Academy Memorial Park following the service to raise funds for Main Street Flags sponsored by Katahdin Lodge #98, caretakers of the street, cemetery, and park flags. Your continued support of the flags is appreciated.
