WASHBURN, Maine — The Washburn ATV Club will be hosting a Father’s Day weekend hot dog roast on Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — rain or shine.

“We will be serving red and brown hot dogs, chips, baked beans, salads, desserts, soda, bottled water, coffee and hot chocolate. We will also be doing a 50/50 drawing,” said Roger Hewitt, club president.
Tickets are two for $1 or 15 for $5.
“The winner does not have to be present to win. The lucky ticket will be drawn at 2 p.m. on Sunday,” Hewitt said. “We also have two very nice helmets that we’ll be raffling off this season which will be on display. Tickets are $1 each. The winners of the helmets will be drawn at our August Festival poker run.”
Proceeds from the hot dog roasts will be used for a club construction project.
“The cost is by donation, with all proceeds going toward rebuilding our clubhouse,” said Hewitt. Our ATV clubhouse is located in the red barn, behind Country Farms Market, on Gould Street. There will be signs posted along the trails.”
Hewitt said you don’t need to be a member or own an ATV to participate.
“All are invited to participate; we welcome the support,” said Hewitt.
