VAN BUREN, Maine — Van Buren residents will go to the polls on Tuesday, June 13, in preparation for the annual town meeting the next day.
Elections will be held Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Van Buren Community Center, 130 Champlain St.
The town meeting is slated at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at the SAD 24 auditorium.
On the ballot, Kevin Lapointe is running unopposed for a three-year term on the town council.
Norman Parent and Patrick Vaillancourt are vying for a three-year term as a trustee for Van Buren Light and Power.
Robert Doucette is the sole candidate for a three-year term on the Van Buren Water District Board of Trustees.
Two seats are up for grabs in the SAD 24 school board race. Candidates include Peter LaPlante, Jimmy Don Madore, Devin Parent and John Pelletier.
