Fort Kent wins first home baseball game of the season

FORT KENT, Maine — The Fort Kent Warrior boys were a hit during their first home baseball game of the season, with a 16-5 win against the Wisdom/Van Buren Pioneers on Wednesday, May 3. 

“We have a good returning core of players and some nice young talent,” Warriors coach Jason Nadeau said.

Isaiah Martin led the way for the Warriors offense with two hits, three runners batted in and three runs.

Keegan Cyr also stepped up for Fort Kent with two hits, one RBI and three runs. 

The Pioneers include players from both Wisdom High School and Van Buren District School. 

Kaden Daigle had two hits and three runs batted in for the Pioneers while Jack Desjardins had one hit and two runs.

Both teams moved to 2-1 records on the season with the game.
