FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — A Caswell woman faces drug charges after an arrest in Fort Fairfield earlier this month.

Brianna Reed, 31, was arrested on Limestone Road around midnight on Monday, Aug. 7, after an officer stopped her for an alleged traffic violation. A search by the U.S. Border Patrol’s trained police dog allegedly found methamphetamine and contraband in Reed’s vehicle, said Fort Fairfield Police Chief Matthew Cummings.

Reed is being held at Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. She faces charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs and violating conditions of release.

Reed was recently indicted by an Aroostook County Grand Jury for an unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs charge, dating back to March 2023.
