Miss Aroostook winners crowned

CARIBOU, Maine —  The Miss Aroostook pageant was held in Caribou, crowning girls and young women who will advance to the Maine Academic Scholarship Pageant next July.

Crowned as Miss Aroostook titleholders were:

Hailee Elizabeth Lowell, 2, was crowned Miss Aroostook Little Princess 2024. Hailee loves hanging out with her animals and doing anything outside. Hailee is the daughter of Angie and Jesse Lowell, of Lee. She has an older sister, Wynter, a baby sister, Lydia and two older brothers, Chace and Koden. She is the granddaughter of Keith Hafford and the late Donna Bernier, both of Allagash and Charles Lowell and Carolyn Stevens of Lee, and the late Pamela McKay of Lincoln.

Madalynn Grace Kilcollins, 4, was crowned Miss Aroostook Spirit 2024. Madalynn will attend Pre-K at Pine Street Elementary in Presque Isle. Madalynn enjoys going to the beach, four wheeling, doing gymnastics, having fun mommy and me days, and spending time with her family. Madalynn is the daughter of Matt and Tia Kilcollins and has three brothers, Brayden, Logan and Ryland.  She is the granddaughter of Michael Cowett and the late Sherry Cowett and Michael and Kelly Kilcollins.

Brynlee Mae West, 5, was crowned Miss Aroostook Young Princess 2024. Brynlee was also awarded a medal in the People’s Choice competition for raising the most funds for the snack food drive.  Brynlee is a kindergartner at Caribou Community School. She spends her free time roller skating at Melody Roller Rink, singing, dancing, doing crafts and four wheeling. Brynlee is the daughter of Philip West III and Stephaine Klinger and has an older sister Aleigha — granddaughter of Philip West Jr., Sue Mohan, Leann & Eric Johnson.

Maddison Mae-Lynn White, 6, a first-grader at Princeton Elementary School in Princeton, was crowned Miss Aroostook Princess 2024. Maddison was also awarded a medal in the supermodel competition.  Aside from one of her biggest passions, pageantry, Maddison enjoys spending her time volunteering in her community as much as possible where she has held a school supply drive, collected “cookies for my heros”, collected donations for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine, participated in local Veterans Day flag placements and made valentines for her local nursing homes and veterans among other activities. Maddison plays various sports including t-ball, soccer and basketball and loves dancing at Flippin Fun Dance Studio in Lincoln and being a Girl Scout. She is the daughter of Brian and Crissy White of Waite, a sister to her big brother Bryce and her little brother Hunter, and the granddaughter of Troy Palmeter Sr., Charlie and Cindy Davis and Chris and Doreen White as well as the late Terri McLaughlin. Maddison is looking forward to serving her community even more.

Katlyn Diane Kinney, 12, was crowned Miss Aroostook Pre-Teen 2024. Katlyn is the daughter of Ryan and Christina Kinney of Fort Fairfield. This is Katlyn’s first title, she is very excited to volunteer throughout the county and be a leader in the role she has been given.

Khloee Renee’ Tower, 12, a seventh-grader at Messalonskee Middle School in Oakland was crowned Miss Aroostook Young Teen 2024. Khloee likes to volunteer helping young children and the local humane societies. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Khloee is the daughter of Ashley and Derek Beaulieu & Scott Tower. She is the older sister of Aubree and Rex Beaulieu & Willow Quirion-Tower. Khloee is the granddaughter to Charles Heath, Barbra Goodale, and Inez Tower.

Madlyn Dawn Kinney, 12, from Fort Fairfield was crowned Miss Aroostook Director’s Choice 2024. Madlyn is the daughter of Ryan and Christina Kinney. Madlyn is excited for all of the volunteer work she will be able to do and new opportunities.

Danica Beaulieu, 16, a junior at Presque Isle High School was crowned Miss Aroostook Teen 2024. Danica volunteers at the Central Aroostook Humane Society, most recently with their “Jordan’s Way” fundraiser.  She also enjoys volunteering with the local motorcycle club. Danica is supported by her siblings; Kyriah, Benton, Brooklyn and Taylor. She is the daughter of Reighel Waugh and Matthew and Julea Beaulieu of Presque Isle.

Alexa Lynn Perkins 19, from Presque Isle, was crowned Miss Aroostook 2024. She was also awarded the top interview score and chosen by the directors as the Kindness Ambassador.  Alexa is the daughter of Mike Perkins and Andrea and Scott Thibodeau. Alexa is looking forward to all of the opportunities she will have this year with her sister queens.

Laci Cummings, 20 of Littleton, was crowned Miss Aroostook Ambassador 2024. Laci has been crowned in several local pageants previously. Laci has volunteered in many ways, including making Valentines for the patients at a local hospital, providing free books to children who are in need, and helping with the Christmas gifting program at a children’s home in Waterville.  Laci was awarded medals in the casual wear, fitness, and supermodel competitions.  Laci is the daughter of Pam and Tim Cummings, and has five siblings: Andy, Matt, Ryan, Kelly and Trevor. Laci is also supported in her community service work by her fiancé Leroy Gardiner, lll.

The pageant system places high importance on community service activities, and contestants raised over $600 for the Aroostook County Snack Food Drive organized by 2023 Miss Northeast Maine Teen, Madelyn Sylvia. The funds were used to purchase snack foods for teachers’ classrooms in Aroostook County and have already started being delivered. Donations can be made to the continuing drive through GoFundMe.
