PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The annual C-A-N-C-E-R Golf Tournament is planned for this Saturday, June 28 at Presque Isle Country Club, with the event serving as an important fundraiser for the Caring Area Neighbors for Cancer Education and Recovery (C-A-N-C-E-R), whose mission is to support area residents who are fighting the disease.
The organization assists with hotel, gas, plane fare, bus fare and auto repair expenditures, as well as helping with medical costs through co-pays and with medicine costs.
The group also delivers homemade bread and other sweets on a monthly basis to cancer patients going through treatment. All money raised from Saturday’s tournament stays in Aroostook County.

The grand prize for the first hole-in-one on hole No. 8 will be $10,000 cash.
